This Year's Camp Schedule
Camps
Pee Wee Camp (Completed 2nd grade) – Pee Wee Camp is a 3-day and 2-night introductory experience in Christian camping for boys and girls who have completed the second grade. It is a fast-paced and high-energy fun filled few days on Holy Ground. Somewhere between the evening carnival games, hours in the pool, the introduction to owl calling and other forest animals, the hayride, miniature golf and evening campfires with smores campers will begin to explore their faith in God. With counselors and directors who provide a safe and supportive environment it can be expected that your son or daughter will come home having learned something about themselves and God. However, they will also have stories of having met new friends and full of positive personality.
Junior Camp (Completed 3rd, 4th, 5th grade) – Starting in 3rd grade, youth can attend this week-long camp held in our cabins. Everyday campers will experience time to swim in the pool, participate in group games, spend time with their small group or cabin group and worship around the campfire. Camper’s will be encouraged to see God in nature, in others and in themselves. By midweek campers will be forming friendships that often last throughout the year. The midweek trip to the picnic grove area of Holy Ground to enjoy games and food cooked over the grill is often a favorite memory. I recommend you find a friend to go with you and take advantage of this camp!
Junior Camp Mini – This is a 2-night, 3-day version of the Junior camp. It is a great way to try out camp if a youth has never been to camp or away from home for an extended time. Although shorter in time frame, this camp holds true to the same elements of Junior camp: Daily swims help campers cool off and enjoy splashing in the pool. Campfires every evening help campers experience one of the most legendary parts of going to camp. Spending two nights in the cabins can create some awesome memories. Junior camp Mini may be shorter than the week-long version but it packs an amazing amount of fun into those 3 days. This is also a great camp to bring your parents along as counselors.
Family Camp – The best part of family camp is a toss-up between the fun activities for our children and the adult sharing groups that give encouragement and support to all of us. A flexible schedule allows many individual families to blend into one Body of Christ gathered on Holy Ground. Family camp is a great time to just relax and be family. Slow down, swim in the pool, take long naps, and join together in family friendly worship in the evenings. This camp provides opportunities for parents to talk to other parents while youth have fun together and develop friendships. If your family is like most and could use a little more time together then I encourage you to attend family camp this summer.
Grand Camp (Grandchildren/Grandparents Camp) (Children ages 5 through 2nd grade with at least one grandparent) – Only 23 hours long, this camp packs a powerful purpose. Choose between cabins or lodge rooms for your overnight housing. This camp will give grandparents and grandchildren a chance to enjoy spending time together. Activities include interactive games that help grandparents and grandchildren share their faith understandings with each other. Swim time or miniature golf for all and separate time for grandparents while grandchildren enjoy a hike on the trails of Holy Ground. A closing worship that often moves both adults and children to tears of joy. In short, Grandparents (even adopted Grandparents) can affect the life path of their Grandchildren so put this one on your calendar.
Cabin Chi Rho Camp (Non-Rustic) (Completed 6th, 7th, 8th Grade) – This is a weeklong camp held on our cabin side with meals in the dining hall. It blends casual play time and “power praise” worship sessions. You will experience God through prayer and high energy Christian music. If you like casual time with friends, plenty of time to play in the pool, and faith filled moments that will help you find a relationship with other youth and with God this camp is the experience for you.
Semi-Rustic Chi Rho Camp (Completed 6th, 7th, 8th Grade) – This camp is A weeklong Semi-Rustic experience that produces opportunities for relationships with God and other people. While living in huts and sleeping in bunk beds you will quickly form bonds that last a lifetime. As a village, you will learn to cook over a campfire, play in the pool, build teamwork and discover the leader that lives in you. In this outdoor environment you and your new friends will experience the accepting and loving touch of God that can only be experienced sitting around a campfire at Chi Rho Camp.
Traditional CYF Conference (Completed 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th Grade) – A week-long experience on the “Holy Ground” of the Christian Conference Center with other High School age youth. Through study, casual conversations, life changing worship and incredible recreation times campers should expect to be challenged and nurtured in their faith journey. This is a camp that provides many opportunities to make new friends and capture a “deep-down” feeling of wonderment and purpose. A week at CYF Conference may well stick with you your whole life long.
CYF #14, Rustic Mission Camp – This camp mixes the rustic nature of our Village camping with a mission trip. Casual Conservations around a table with food prepared over the open flame of a campfire produces an intensely close camp. This would be enough to make it one of the coolest camps during the summer but add to this experience daily mission trips to help Habitat for Humanity build houses for people who would not otherwise be able to afford a house and you have CYF Rustic Mission Camp! Along with these unique elements, this camp worships together, swims together and explores God together.
Equestrian Camp (Completed 7th-12 grades) – This camp bunks at the Christian Conference Center but commutes everyday to the Circle R Ranch just a few miles up the road. It’s a beautiful blend of our traditional on-site camps with evening campfires and life changing worship experiences combined with learning the art of taking care of riding horses. Its a great camp for someone who loves horses or someone who is beginning to explore an interest in horses.
Trec (Trail/Back Packing Camp) (Completed 7th-12th grade) – Yahoo! This is one of our most extreme adventure experiences. Campers will meet at the Christian Conference Center for training and bonding but then campers and counselors travel to the trail. (set each year by the directors). This is a Christian Camp set in the high adventure of canoeing, backpacking and other outdoor activities. Campers attending this camp should be prepared for extreme faith conversations and extreme adventure.
Adult Boundary Waters Camp – The Boundary Waters Canoe Camp is designed for the beginning canoeist (or above). We travel to Ely, MN and from there to the wilderness of the Boundary Waters. The trip is planned to cover some 50 miles over nine lakes and one or two rivers. This is a great adventure if you are up to the challenge. This camp is self-sufficient, that means we sleep on air mattresses, in tents and cook all our meals, which we take with us in our canoes. This is also primitive camping in that there are no showers or modern restrooms. If you like exploring and being in the outdoors this is the Camp for you.
Adult Couples Canoe Camp – Need a weekend away? Come and join us as we canoe down the Raccoon River. This will be a leisurely float/paddle with lots of time to stop on sandbars and enjoy God’s creation. We plan to meet and camp at Panora, floating down almost to Redfield on Saturday, camp at Panora again Saturday night and leave for home after a hearty breakfast and worship Sunday morning. A great way to meet new people and spend time with your significant other.
